Every Thursday Mi Piace Kate Design lets a friend or stranger take over the blog to share a project, how-to, skill or hobby. The Secret Project project is about learning from each other, by sharing ideas, skills and knowledge. Basically, you share your skills, and I'll share a prize, because everyone knows how to do something that is worthy of sharing, teaching or learning.*
Your Secret Project can be anything from a recipe, a plan for a weekend trip out of town, a house project, or a new skill you've recently learned. In return, every project contributor receives a handmade prize from me in the mail. Basically, I'll post a blog entry on a project created by you. You provide the project, the story behind it, and some photos to document your project. I'll provide a handmade secret prize!

Technical Details:
Once you have you project ready (photos & text please!) send it to me at mipiacekate@gmail.com. Feel free to give me notes on where you want the photos placed. The easiest way will be to name or number your photos, and then leave a note for me between paragraphs of where you want each photo to be placed. If you want a caption below the photo, put it in parentheses, and I will make sure to add it as well. If I don't know you, write a sentence or two to introduce yourself, and be sure to mention whether you'd like me to publish your real name. You can tell me how much or how little of your identity should be revealed. If you want to remain anonymous on the internet, give me your code name. Feel free to share your own blog or personal website/portfolio/twitter name, and I will post that too (note: as long as that link isn't dirty, nasty, questionable, etc).
Due Dates:
I post one secret project every Thursday morning. In general, I need secret project posts by Wednesday morning to be considered for the following day. Once you submit your project, I will give you an estimate of when your project will be posted.

What kind of prize will I receive for my project?
-Prizes are handmade by Kate, and depending on my art supplies & current interests, prizes may be hand-sewn, hand-collaged, or hand-baked. Prizes are also secret, so I can't tell you too much about them. Prizes sent by mail will arrive in a recyclable mailer, usually within one week of publishing your secret project. I don't mail edible prizes, and I only give edible prizes to people I know personally (for lots of reasons). I can't think of a good secret project idea, and I'm really stressed out. Can you help?
-First of all, don't be stressed out! This is supposed to be fun, not work. If you're worried, take a look at the previous secret projects- there is no pattern or rules to follow! Pick something you know how to do, and show us how to do it.The goal of this project is to share projects, art, hobbies and talents, because we all know how to do so many different things, and it is way more fun to learn from each other than it is to just google it. If you're really unsure, send me an email, I'll give you some support. I made a secret project and I got a prize, when can I do it again?
-Immediately! There are no limits on the number of secret projects you can do. For every project published, you will receive a prize. I probably won't publish two secret projects in a row made by the same person, but I will always send a prize for every published project.Previous Secret Projects:
